Project Description
The Bayfront Redevelopment Area Open Space Master Plan represents a paradigm shift towards sustainable, resilient, and equitable development along the Hackensack. A waterfront park incorporates a half-mile long promenade and marshlands that will help absorb rising tides and improve water quality. Two linear parks, situated atop engineered caps, provide recreational amenities and green connections between underserved upland neighborhoods and the riverfront.
