Project Description

Dundee Island Park redesigns a neglected 6.73 acre park situated on a narrow strip of land partially within the active floodway of the Passaic River. An ecologically sensitive approach to the riverbank restoration greatly influenced the design with native wet meadow plantings, rain gardens, and other green infrastructure methods interwoven throughout the park. Other park elements include: interpretive panels, a boat ramp and dock, youth soccer field, playground, game tables, an adult fitness area, performance amphitheater and open lawn, picnic areas and community garden.
