Project Description
The New Jersey Bayshore region is blessed with globally significant wetlands and estuarine ecology, uncrowded natural beaches and nationally significant maritime heritage.
The Landscape Architect led a multi-disciplined team working closely with a forty-person regional committee to develop community-based goals and innovative strategies for conserving and enhancing the visitor’s experience and access to nearby nature through sustainable heritage and nature-based tourism.
The plan led to the designation of the Bayshore Heritage Byway as one of New Jersey’s eight scenic byways, bringing greater awareness to the region’s globally and nationally significant assets.
