Project Description

Mary B. Moss Playground is a quarter-acre neighborhood park in Princeton, New Jersey. Originally constructed in the 1940s, the playground is in the historic and once segregated African American neighborhood known as Witherspoon-Jackson. Recognizing the important heritage of this diverse and historically underserved neighborhood, an inclusive design process was initiated, engaging with local residents to share memories, express desires, and help preserve the park’s legacy, while updating the park’s features, layout, and accessibility.
